Carl Ellis Counselling

A calm and supportive space to talk

Sometimes life can begin to feel overwhelming.

You may be carrying anxiety that never seems to switch off, struggling with loss or change, feeling emotionally exhausted, or simply finding it hard to cope in the way you once could.

Therapy offers a space where you do not have to carry everything alone.

My role is not to rush you, fix you, or tell you who to be. It is to sit alongside you, help you feel less alone with what you are carrying, and support you as you begin to find your way through.

I provide counselling for adults, young people, and professionals in a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My approach is person-centred, relational, and trauma-informed, meaning the therapeutic relationship is always at the heart of the work we do together.

Alongside my private practice, I have many years of experience supporting young people in educational settings, in addition to counselling adults facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges.

Whether you are seeking support with anxiety, bereavement, trauma, depression, workplace stress, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling lost in yourself, therapy can help you make sense of what you are experiencing and move forward with greater understanding and confidence.

How I work

I believe therapy should feel human, warm, and grounded, not clinical or overwhelming.
My aim is to create a space where you feel:
•    Safe
•    Heard
•    Accepted
•    Supported

Clients often tell me they appreciate the calm and steady presence I bring to sessions, and my ability to gently help them make sense of difficult experiences without pressure or judgement.
